Senior Site Reliability Engineer 2022 —Klaviyo · SRE Security Engineering
- Edge. Owned and architected Klaviyo's global edge tier as a platform — led a Cloudflare firewall-rule migration and hundreds of Klaviyo and customer domains moved behind the edge, growing protected and cached traffic to 1.64+ billion requests/month. Most recently architected data-residency edge tier for EU/Asia expansion.
- Observability. Owned a logging pipeline moving over 10 billion events a day (Filebeat → Logstash → Splunk + S3) across thousands of hosts. Led BFCM (Black Friday/Cyber Monday) as team lead, diagnosed a BFCM log-replay bug live, and fixed issues starving Splunk of ~90% of app logs.
- Security posture. Implemented Cloudflare origin lockdown for IPO readiness, IMDSv2 enforcement closing a long-standing attack vector, IAM least-privilege overhaul, and CloudTrail-based detection of privilege misuse.
- Incident response. Built Sev1 alerting and incident reporting for executive leadership, and led response and root-cause investigation for high-severity issues.
